The Seasons
Seasickness
What to Bring
The Lake can be unpredictable, so be prepared. In the Spring bring warm  clothes and dry footing.  In the summer it can be HOT, bring light clothing or a swim suit.  It is always a good idea to bring rain gear.  I require glasses or sunglasses so no one gets a hook in the eye.  Finally bring your own food and drink and a cooler to take your fillets home in.
Sea Sickness can be a very unpleasent experience.  If you are prone to it take a preparation such as Dramamine at least 4 hours before your charter.  It is no fun to be sick on the lake, ruining your day, or possibly that of your friends
Fishing begins in early April with limit catches of Spring Coho (2 to 4 lbs), Steelhead, and occasional Brown Trout.  May and June continue to be excellent months as all species continue to to grow in size  (6 to 20 lb) fish are the norm during this period.
July brings Skamania Mania, and probably the most prized fresh water fish of North America.  Until you've caught one of these aerial artists you really haven't experienced fishing.
August brings Lake Trout fishing, when we search out these behemoth denizens of the deep.
September brings the fall migration when mature Coho and Chinook (10-28 lb) school off  of Michigan City in preparation for their spawn run.
